We finally made it after a long and exciting drive of 20 minutes! She was beside herself with excitement so it was the longest 20 minutes EVER. So, she immediately got set up and plopped right down on the sand... still had all her clothes on and everything!

After a cat nap on the sandy beaches of Pepper Park Beach (where Mommy and Daddy renewed their vows and Ryley was only 3 weeks old in Mommy's belly!!) and pulling herself together, she realized it was getting pretty warm so a dip in the ocean was in order. Mommy put lots and lots of sunscreen on her (even in her hair and everything, as Daddy suggested) and we headed toward the water. YAY!
Here's Mommy and Ryley getting some lotion on...

Daddy and Ryley getting to the water and Ryley giving her sunglasses a try...

Not so much on the sunglasses but so far so good on the water and the beach!

Then Daddy decided it was time to give her a quick dip in the ocean... not realizing the little wave that was coming their way right as I snapped the photo... We'll call this, "Before".

And then... we'll call this "After".

Yes, it is the best picture ever... it WILL be framed and will make us laugh every single time we look at it. Poor, Baby!!
So, Mommy comes to the rescue...

She's still a little ticked...

Getting a little better...

And now we are getting sleepy...

But Mommy and Daddy want some family shots before we head back to the blanket...

Uh oh... Again?! So uncharacteristic of her - Something must be up but we keep smiling hoping it will be contagious!

Weeeeeeeeeeeee...

Okay that was fun... Feeling a little better again.

Turns out, she was starving! Guess we should have fed her before her big adventure. 4 1/2 minutes without food was a little much for our little piglet!

A changed diaper and a nice big refreshing bottle was just what the doctor ordered...

... for Daddy, too!

Now everyone's happy and it was a great first-time trip to the beach!! Life is goooooooood!
